Just because they’re from the same litter doesn’t mean they have the same health risks. That’s why we check for each health condition multiple times in every dog we test. We’ll let you know if your dogs are at risk for hereditary health conditions themselves, or carry the potential to pass genetic risks to their offspring.
Genetic diversity
COI and DLA measurements for every dog
Every single dog tested with Embark gets its coefficient of inbreeding (COI) measured. Only Embark offers breeders the expected COI in a litter from two potential mates in our database.
We’ll also provide a measurement of dog leukocyte antigen (DLA) haplotype diversity. Specific haplotypes have been implicated in some autoimmune conditions.
